Since the inception of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Virat Kohli is the only player who has represented just one franchise in the history of the tournament

Since then, Kohli has waited for 18 years to lay his hand on the elusive showpiece. He also suffered defeats in the 2009, 2011, and 2016 editions of the cash-rich league

In the IPL 2025 final against Punjab Kings (PBKS), RCB, under the captaincy of Rajat Patidar, won the clash by six runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad

Kohli emerged as the top scorer for the side. Facing 35 deliveries, the right-hander garnered 43 runs, which were laced with three boundaries

After clinching the title, the 37-year-old cricketer was seen in tears. Along with him, former RCB players Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers were also seen enjoying the historic win with the players
