Having put to bat first, Team India's opening batsman Sanju Samson departed on 22 runs. His knock came in eight balls, including a boundary and three maximums. Later, premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya delivered a stunning knock of 52 runs off just 28 deliveries, which was laced with four boundaries and the same number of maximums. Shouldering him was Shivam Dube, who scored 23 runs in 16 balls, with the help of a boundary and a maximum.
