In the WPL 2026 match against Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians' skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will be eyeing a huge feat in the history of the tournament

She is 55 runs shy of achieving the feat of becoming the second player to complete 1000 runs in the history of the Women's Premier League

So far, Harmanpreet has garnered 945 runs in 29 WPL  matches for the "Paltan". With a top score of an unbeaten 95 runs, she also has nine half-centuries to her name

If Harmanpreet manages to score the required runs, she will become the second player to reach the feat after Nat Sciver-Brunt, who also plays for Mumbai Indians. So far, she has 1101 runs to her name in the marquee event

The WPL 2026 match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants is scheduled to be played on Tuesday at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai
