Five-year-old Sunderland mascot Bradley Lowery, currently battling neuroblastoma (a type of cancer) was forced to cancel his appearance when Sunderland played Middlesbrough on Wednesday night, as doctors fear his condition is deteriorating


Five-year-old Sunderland mascot Bradley Lowery, currently battling neuroblastoma (a type of cancer) was forced to cancel his appearance when Sunderland played Middlesbrough on Wednesday night, as doctors fear his condition is deteriorating.

Lowery's family wrote on his Facebook page: "Bradley is not good. He has been in horrendous pain with his leg since yesterday, to the point that he couldn't move in bed last night. We have had him to the hospital today and they have given him an X-ray but it didn't show anything."
