While Mario Götze's winner in the football World Cup final against Argentina earlier this month may have thrown some spotlight on his girlfriend as well, Ann-Kathrin Brömmel is keen to create her own identity

Munich: While Mario Götze's winner in the football World Cup final against Argentina earlier this month may have thrown some spotlight on his girlfriend as well, the ambitious Ann-Kathrin Brömmel is keen to create her own identity.

In an interview to GQ magazine recently, Götze's girlfriend insisted that she would not like to be labelled as a WAG (Wives And Girlfriends).
"Someone whose purpose in life it is to be the wife of someone I cannot understand. Although I am also the girlfriend of Mario Götze, but I have my own personal goals I want to achieve. Otherwise, I could not be more happy," Brömmel was quoted as saying.

The 22-year-old has been a successful model, but Brömmel isn't content being a glamour girl. She is planning to launch a career in pop music.
Meanwhile, the couple has been enjoying a much-needed break in Formentera, Spain. Yesterday, they were seen enjoying a skin-nutritious mud bath. The pair then hopped onto a jet ski once they had cleaned off.
