The young lads from JBCN International School (Parel) diluted the challenge from Jamnabai Narsee School (Juhu) and coasted to a fluent 3-0 victory in an absorbing boys U-8 final of the MSSA inter-school football tournament played in front of a large number of cheering parents at the Neville D'Souza Turf in Bandra recently.

The hero of JBCN's victory was their consistent goal-scorer Avuykt Mahkaria, who netted twice. The third was courtesy an own-goal scored by Jamnabai.

Earlier, The Scholar School 'A' (Colaba) scored once in the second half to overcome Fazlani School (Mazagon) in the third-place match. Striker Yonit Jain scored the all-important winner in the 21st minute to clinch a close victory for The Scholar lads.
