Premier League football club Manchester United star Matteo Darmian's model girlfriend Francesca accepts his proposal and announces their engagement on social media

Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian did not have to take permission from Jose Mourinho to do this. On Monday, 27-year-old Darmian popped the question to his model girlfriend Francesca Cormanni, who is a qualified interior designer.
She took to Instagram to reveal her answer, posting a picture of herself sharing a kiss with her long-term partner and a message 'I said yes!' written on her hand.

She captioned the picture: "Exactly eight years after our first meeting... I said YES to the man of my dreams."
Francesca ensures she updates her fans with pictures of the couple.
Last season, she posted an image of Darmian and herself alongside the FA Cup which United won against Crystal Palace.
The couple moved to Manchester in 2013 after the right-back's switch from Serie A side, Torino.
