Paris: French midfielder Blaise Matuidi has admitted that he wanted to join Italian champions Juventus, but he is not unhappy staying on at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The 29-year-old Matuidi came very close to joining Juve, but the French club blocked the move.
"There was a offer. Yes, at a certain point I wished to leave. The club decided otherwise, and we had to accept that," Matuidi said.
"I know that there's lot of faith on me. His input mattered a lot for the club," Matuidi added.
