British TV star calls Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen 'doormat' for letting him cheat

British radio and TV presenter Carol McGiffin has slammed England football star Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen for letting her husband get away with yet another cheating episode.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star says ex-Manchester United star Wayne's behaviour is actually Coleen's fault and has even gone on to brand her a "doormat."

Rooney was recently arrested for drunk driving in a car with a party girl Laura Simpson, who later said that the couple kissed and would have gone on to sleep together had he not been caught by the cops. This happened while Coleen, who is pregnant with Rooney's fourth child, was away on holiday in Majorca. Coleen has maintained her silence on the subject and reportedly continues to live with her husband despite him having done something similar while she was pregnant on an earlier occasion too.

McGiffin, writing in her column for this week's Best magazine, says: "Poor wife Coleen, pregnant with his fourth child, had to supposedly rush back from her holiday to sort the mess out.

"And I suppose I should be feeling sorry for her -- but I'm afraid I don't think so. Largely, because she is the reason it keeps happening. If you behave like a doormat, you will get treated like one."
