Spanish club Barcelona will travel to the Greek town of Ioannina to conduct workshops for 150 boys, girls and adults living in refugee camps in the area, UNHCR announced
Athens: Spanish club Barcelona will travel to the Greek town of Ioannina to conduct workshops for 150 boys, girls and adults living in refugee camps in the area, UNHCR announced.
The UN body for refugees however, did not disclose the names of the Barcelona players, who will be attend ing the workshops scheduled for November 18, Efe reported.
The initiative is being planned and executed by the Barcelona Players Association, local Greek club PAS Ioannina and UNHCR together. The association of the Spanish club's players said the idea was to raise awareness on the plight of refugees in Greece and promote a fundraising campaign for humanitarian purposes.
