Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has urged his side to not let their foot off the accelerator when they face relegation-threatened Burnley (19th) in the English Premier League on Wednesday.

A win for the Sky Blues at Turf Moor will see them lead the EPL table with five games to go. After a pivotal 2-1 victory over title rivals Arsenal on Sunday, Guardiola knows a game like this could be a potential banana skin for his emotionally, and physically exhausted side.

"The recovery is much less than the last two weeks. It's just two days. It's a demanding game we had [vs Arsenal], both emotionally and physically. But we talked after the game. ‘Do not lose focus,' I told them [City player]," said Guardiola on Tuesday.

The Spaniard also confirmed they will be without talismanic midfielder Rodri, who suffered a groin injury during the win over Arsenal.
