Former Wales footballer Ryan Giggs has quashed reports about a romance with model and actor Gemma Atkinson. News began doing the rounds about them secretly dating after the couple posted a dinner date picture on social media. The Manchester United great joined Strictly Come Dancing star Atkinson as a guest on her show recently on Manchester radio station Key 103 recently. When her co-hosts Matt and Mike asked about their romance, Giggs said: "Me and Gemma have been friends for a long time!" His answer had Atkinson, Matt and Mike laughing. Earlier, Atkinson also had spoken about the rumoured relationship saying that she and Giggs have been friends for almost a decade.

"Anyone I hang about with of the opposite sex, people say that I'm going out with that person. Whenever we all go out together as friends, people say we're in a relationship," she said.
