Xavi, Guardiola applications, a hoax: AIFF

The All India Football Federation confirmed on Friday that the applications it had received for the post of men's national team head coach from Spanish legends Xavi Hernandez and Pep Guardiola were a hoax.

"The AIFF received an e-mail furnishing the applications from Spanish coaches Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernandez. The authenticity of their applications could not be confirmed, and it has since emerged that the applications were not genuine," AIFF stated in a media release.
