11-year-old Lakshya wins in Indonesia

Shuttler Lakshya Sen won the Kejuaraan Astec Open badminton title in Indonesia on Saturday. Lakshya, powered by Olympic Gold Quest, beat local lad MS Rizil 21-18, 21-7 to win the Under-13 crown.

The 11-year-old had defeated compatriot Kartikey Gulshan 21-11, 21-18 in the semi-finals on Friday. The youngster was in sublime form and did not drop a single game in the entire tournament.

This was his third international victory in the last two years. Lakshya, Rahul BM and Kartikey Gulshan are in Indonesia for a month-long training camp.
