Lucknow: As many as 12 Indians qualified for the main draw of the singles events in the Syed Modi International Grand Prix Gold badminton tournament at the BBD UP Badminton Academy, Gomti Nagar, here yesterday.

In men's singles category, Satinder Malik, Love Kumar, Vikranth Kumar Korukonda, Siddharth Jakhar, Himanshu Saroha, Talar Laa, Ankit Chhikara and Rajat Joon made the cut.

Ekta Kalia, Riya Mukherjee, Lalita Dahiya and Yamini Sharma qualified for the main draw of women's singles competition.

Top shuttlers -- Saina Nehwal, P V Sindhu, Parupalli Kashyap, K Srikanth and other big names -- will start their campaign tonight.
