On the other hand, Mehta who hails from Mumbai and is also 26 years old created one of the the tournament's biggest upsets when he stunned reigning IBSF world champion Hossain Vafaei Ayouri of Iran 6-3.

Earlier in the day, Advani defeated Iran's Ehsan Heydari 5-0 while Mehta beat Afghan veteran Saleh Ahmed 5-2 in the quarter-finals.
