Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is very impressed with the recent success of kabaddi. India has traditionally been a dominant force in the sport, but the super duper success of the franchise-based Pro Kabaddi League has been unprecedented, and Akshay wants to take things forward by making a movie on the sport

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is very impressed with the recent success of kabaddi. India has traditionally been a dominant force in the sport, but the super duper success of the franchise-based Pro Kabaddi League has been unprecedented, and Akshay wants to take things forward by making a movie on the sport.
"I want to do a film on kabaddi. It's nice to see that the world is responding to this Indian game," said Akshay, during the inauguration of a football tournament in Delhi recently.
Bollywood has seen a host of sports biopics including 'Bhaag Milkha Bhaag' based on legendary distance-runner Milkha Singh, and Mary Kom, inspired by India's only female Olympic medal-winning boxer, among others. However, there's been no film on kabaddi yet.
