Indian pair Anirban Lahiri and Gaganjeet Bhullar take on 16 other two-man teams for the three places up for grabs at the Mission Hills World Cup Asian qualifying tournament, starts today at the Seri Selangor Golf Club near Kuala Lumpur.

"This is probably our sixth or seventh time. We have been playing in the team format since we were 15 years old. We had a good time playing as team partners previously. In 2005, we won the Asian Junior Team Championship for India. In 2006 we won the (silver medal) Asian Games. It is nice to be playing with Gaganjeet on the same team again," said Lahiri.

Bhullar, a two-time Asian Tour winner along with Lahiri is keen to follow the footsteps of Arjun Atwal and Jeev Milkha Singh in continuing to raise the Indian flag at international level: "We are looking forward to playing in the World Cup and want to follow in the footsteps of Arjun Atwal and Jeev Milkha Singh in continuing to raise the Indian flag."
