Maharashtra emerged victorious at the recently-concluded 31st Sub Junior National Aquatic Championship held at Indore.
Apart from winning the U-10 boy's and girls team championships, they also won the freestyle relay in the U-10 boys and girls events.
Armaan Sikka broke two national records in 100m freestyle (1:05.47 sec) and 200m IM (2:44.66 sec). In the boy's U-12, Vineet Mane broke a 13-year-old national record in 50m backstroke clocking 32.51sec. In the girl's U-12 event, Kenisha Gupta clocked 33.72 sec to win gold in the 50m breaststroke.
In the U-10 category, Ananya Pandey (42.41sec) and Aeka Chatra (38.30sec) won gold in the 50m breaststroke and 50m backstroke events respectively. In high board diving event for girls' U-14, Aarya Parmar clinched gold with 150.85 points.
