Madhav Dingra of Otters Club outplayed Basant Singh of Jindal Vidyamandir 11-5, 11-7 to set up a semi-final clash with Sumeet Rao in the boys U-15 singles of the Rs 52,000-prize money The Club Squash Classic 2010 Championships, played at The Club in Andheri yesterday.
Dingra, one of the title contenders, was in complete control of his match, moving the ball around the corners and also using the length of the court to dominate Basant Sumeet, on the other hand, did not have an easy outing against Jindal Vidyamandir's Aditya Khatri, with both games going into extra points before Sumeet prevailed 12-10, 12-10.
The girls U-15 quarter-finals saw the U-15 national champion Urvashi Joshi of Jindal Vidyamandir score a comfortable 11-1, 11-0 win over Daksha Pathak to set up a last four clash with Aishwarya Bhattacharya, who was extended by Videta Nevatia before prevailing 13-11, 13-11.
