European Athletics president Svein Arne Hansen has doubts whether Russia, currently suspended from all athletics events following allegations of state-sponsored doping, will make necessary reforms in time to compete at the 2016 Rio Olympics

Paris: European Athletics president Svein Arne Hansen has doubts whether Russia, currently suspended from all athletics events following allegations of state-sponsored doping, will make necessary reforms in time to compete at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Russia were recently hit with an indefinite suspension by IAAF after a WADA independent commission revealed that Russia's anti-doping agency had "routinely" violated global testing standards.

WADA has begun work in Moscow to help Russia with reforms with an IAAF team due to inspect on Jan 10-11. "For now Russia have to fulfill the conditions, but I can't see them competing in Rio," Hansen told athleticsweekly.com.
