Horse racing: Summer Rays, Excellent Gold likely to duel in feature event

A keen fight will be witnessed between Imtaiz Sait-trained Summer Rays and Narendra Lagad-trained Excellent Gold in the P D Bolton Trophy, the feature event of Sunday's seven-race card. They are the only three-year-olds among the six runners who will be participating in the six-furlong sprint.

Both have stylishly won their races over the same trip in class III this season, and while Summer Rays measures a shade better on the Dynamic Class factor, Excellent Gold has given proof of being in rousing form just a fortnight ago.

While the race does look like a toss up between the two, my vote goes to Summer Rays on account of that slight edge on the scale of Dynamic class.

First race at 2.30 pm.
