javelin thrower Annu Rani set a new National record with a throw of 61.86m to clinch gold in the Federation Cup 2017 in Patiala on Sunday. This throw also secured her an automatic qualification for the World Athletics Championships to be held in August.
The qualification mark is 61.40m. Annu broke her own National record of 60.01m, which she had created in September 2016.
