The curtains came down on the sixth Prof AS Chagla Inter-Medical cricket tournament held under the auspices of the Mumbai Cricket Association, with a nail-biting final between Seth GSMC (KEM) and Grant Medical College (JJ) on March 11.

At the Purandare Stadium, Dadar (East), Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College. (KEM) won the 40 overs-a-side game by three wickets. Ninad Gokhale was the man of the match for his three wickets; Vardhan Ladiwala (MGM College) the best batsman while GMC's Badal Chavan was the best bowler.

Former India batsmen Pravin Amre (chief guest), Sudhir Naik (guest of honour) and Dr Nanda Pai (Prof & Head of the dental department at KEM Hospital) graced the evening. Amre complimented Prof Chagla's efforts in conducting this tournament successfully over the last six years.
