Kirilenko, the world number 30, will face Italian 17th seed Francesca Schiavone for a place in the quarter-finals.
Swedish fifth seed Robin Soderling reached the last 16 yesterday with a 6-4, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 win over Spanish 29th seed Albert Montanes. Soderling, the runner-up to Roger Federer in 2009, will face either Croatian 10th seed Marin Cilic or Argentina's Leonardo Mayer for a place in the quarter-finals.
