MMA star Conor McGregor credits girlfriend Dee Devlin for his success

Irish Mixed Martial Artist (MMA) Conor McGregor, currently gearing up to face British star boxer Floyd Mayweather on Saturday in Las Vegas, admitted there his longtime girlfriend Dee Devlin is one person who keeps him grounded. "If it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't be where I am today," McGregor told Irish Mirror yesterday.

The couple met at a Dublin nightclub in 2008. McGregor was only 19 and was just a working-class boy from the suburbs. Although he was a nobody, Devlin said she was instantly attracted to him. "He's very funny. He always keeps me entertained and makes me laugh. He was already training when I met him, so I really admired his dedication to that, too," she said.
