France's Jean-Marc Mormeck has called on WBA heavyweight champion David Haye to give him a shot at the title, claiming the Englishman has yet to prove himself in the category.
Haye defended his crown for the second time against former Olympic champion Audley Harrison, although the November bout was later branded a farce after Harrison failed to launch a single meaningful punch before being sent to the canvas in the third round.
Mormeck lost his WBC-WBA light-heavyweight titles to Haye in France in 2007, and, like the English fighter, has since stepped up to the heavyweight division.

And after outpointing Timur Ibragimov of Uzbekistan for his third heavyweight victory in Paris Thursday, Mormeck is ready to avenge that defeat.
"Since Haye is afraid of no one, he should give me a shot at revenge in Paris. This is my challenge for him," said Mormeck.
"He might be the WBA champion, and I respect that. But in my opinion he's proved nothing in the heavyweight division."
