It was in the fourth round last year that Nadal's record 31-match winning streak at Roland Garros was broken by Swede Robin Soderling. This time round though the Spanish second seed is set to meet 24th seed Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil in the last 16 as he attempts to become the second man to win five French Open titles after Bjorn Borg who has won it six times.
With this win Nadal now leads the 10-game head-to-head with Hewitt 6-4.
