Neyer Mirza's dual skills helped Maneckji Cooper, Juhu lift the MSSA football under-16 Division IV title, beating Learner's Academy, Bandra 4-3 in tie-breaker at Azad Maidan yesterday. Makeshift 'keeper Mirza effected two crucial saves in the tie-breaker after both teams failed to breaku00a0 the 1-1 deadlock in regulation time.



Neyer plays in the central midfield, but took up the goalkeeping responsibility when his team was in crisis. "Our regular 'keeper Vishisht Verma injured his hand during the quarter-final match. When the match got into penalties, I requested the coach to give me the opportunity. We won that game and since then, there was no looking back," said an elated Neyer.
