India's World Championships bronze medalist Ashwini Ponnappa ensured her Indian Badminton League franchise Pune Pistons managed to win at least one of the five match-ups in yesterday's Indian Badminton League encounter against Hyderabad Hotshots.


At the Sardar Valabhbhai Patel Stadium here, Ponnappa alongwith Joachim Fischer Nielsen beat Hyderabad's mixed doubles pair of V Shem Goh and Pradnya Gadre 21-11, 21-14 to help Pune avoid a 0-5 drubbing at the hands of the Saina Nehwal-led Hotshots.u00a0
