Tiger Woods will make the halfway cut at the Players Championship but will start the third round nine strokes off the lead held by England's Lee Westwood. Woods carded a respectable one-under 71 in the second round at the Sawgrass TPC. He admitted he was not sharp enough.

"I wasn't quite as sharp today as yesterday," Woods said after recording a three-under 141 total.

"I was just kind of outside that birdie-able range with my iron shots. I felt like I putted better, but unfortunately I was just a little bit too far away from the holes."
