Usain Bolt fine, resting at home after car crash in Jamaica

The world''s fastest man, Usain Bolt, who was involved in a car crash in Jamaica, is fine and resting at home.


The three-time Olympic champion was returning home from a party in the early hours when he ran into trouble on the outskirts of Kingston.

Asafa Powell was also on the scene but was travelling in a separate car.

Bolt and Powell had just returned to Jamaica after competing at a Diamond League meet in Norway.

The last time Bolt crashed his BMW, in 2009, he was driving barefoot and lost a month of training after needing minor surgery to remove thorns embedded in his left foot.

His publicist Carole Beckford said Bolt was returning from a party with friends near dawn Sunday when he was involved in a "fender bender" in Jamaica''s capital.

Beckford said there were "no injuries at all" and the sprinting great is "fine and resting at home."

A police spokesman could not be immediately reached regarding the accident, The Daily Mirror reports.
