Weightlifting coach in the red over sex scandal

New Delhi:u00a0 Indian Weightlifting Federation on Saturday suspended SAI coach Ramesh Malhotra after after Sydney Olympic bronze medallist Karnam Malleswari alleged sexual harassment by him on junior lifters,
reported PTI.

"We have suspended Malhotra with immediate effect and has relieved him for his coaching job with Commonwealth core group weightlifters at Bangalore SAI Centre," IWF Secretary General Sahdev Yadav was quoted as saying by the news agency. Malleswari had alleged that the coach has been sexually harassing junior lifters for more than a decade.
