The 'Delhi Dream' was launched in the presence of Vijay Amritraj, the brain behind the league. However, the veteran actor could not make it to the capital.

Kassal, Director of First Serve Sports Private Ltd, said Delhi was a "city of aspirations" so they chose such a name for their team.

Devgn, in a video message, said that he was proud to be a co-owner of the Delhi Dreams and vowed to make the competition "worst nightmare" for others.

Amritraj revealed that Swiss legend Martina Hingis, who recently made a comeback to international tennis, made it to the league as a wild card since she was outside top-25.

Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber, who on Tuesday lost to Novak Djokovic in the Paris Masters, pulled out of the league due to some "personal commitments".

Now Baghdatis, the 2006 Australian Open finalist, has replaced him in the Pune side, which also has Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska, Australian legend Pat Cash and India's Saketh Myneni.

Amritraj also said that Bangalore will also offer tickets at a price of Rs 300 since KSTLA was a big stadium with good crowd capacity. For other cities, the tickets are availabe in three denominations -- Rs 600, Rs 1000 and Rs 2000.

Australian doubles legend Mark Woodford, who was part of the famous Woodies pair with Todd Woodbridge, will be part of the commentary team.
