City boy Kush wins state chess title

Kush Bhagat, a class II student of Hill Spring School (Tardeo) clinched the U-7 Maharashtra state chess title on Monday. In the eight-round competition, Kush scored a commendable 7.5 out of possible 8 points

Kush Bhagat, a class II student of Hill Spring School (Tardeo) clinched the U-7 Maharashtra state chess title on Monday. In the eight-round competition, Kush scored a commendable 7.5 out of possible 8 points.

He finished ahead of Kshatriya Vekhande (Thane) and Aarav Iyer (Raigad), who were second and third place respectively with a score of 7 points each. More than 100 players, across the state, participated in three-day event.
