Dhananjay Mahadik slams five in MSP's big win

It rained goals at Churchgate's MHA Stadium as Maharashtra State Police (MSP) beat a youthful Sports Authority of India (SAI) team 10-7 in a league match of the Mumbai Magicians-MHAL Super League 2013.


The architect of the MSP's victory was former India player Dhananjay Mahadik who hammered home five goals.u00a0For MSP, Vinod Manugade, who scored a brace, Satyajeet Sawant, Kunal Jagdale and Azam Shaikh were also on the scoresheet.

SAI scored a goal each through Akash Mishra, Manpreet Singh, Shabaz Pathan, Mahendra Khokar, Siddharth Gaur, Shoeb Alam and the seventh came from an own goal.

MSP now have six points from four matches, while SAI suffered their fourth defeat in five outings and just have a solitary point.

In the other encounter of the day, Union Bank of India (UBI) eased past Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers (RCF) by a 3-1 margin. Rohan Mhatre, Thokchom Kiran Kumar and Usaf ur Rehman were on target for UBI while Rahul Devkar pulled one back for RCF.
