New Delhi: The Indian men's hockey team lost 1-2 to Belgium in a hard fought third build-up game yesterday at Naarden in the Netherlands.
For Belgium, Tom Boon scored twice while Rupinder Pal Singh netted for India.
Meanwhile, the women's team defeated Ireland 3-1 in their first test match in Dublin. Megan Frazer gave the hosts an early lead but India rallied and won thanks to goals from Poonam Rani, Ritu Rani and Sunita Lakra.
