India were knocked out of the Hockey Junior World Cup on Sunday after succumbing to a chastening 1-5 defeat at the hands of Germany.

For the Germans, Lukas Kossel scored a brace (14th and 30th min), while Titus Wex (15th), Jonas Von Gersum (40th), and Ben Hasbach (49th) scored a goal each.
