Horse racing: Temerity favourite for feature event

The Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia Trophy is slated as the feature event of Sunday's eight-race card at the Mahalaxmi racetrack. Of the seven runners in the line up, Temerity, B Fifty Two and Aster Rose were recently involved in a close finish in the grade 3, A C Ardeshir Trophy, and therefore, may attract attention and money from their supporters.

But the race may prove more tricky than it appears at first glance, thanks to the presence of two more runners, the peripatetic Whomakestherules and the vastly improved Jefferson who has been blazing the trial track.

I expect Temerity to prevail over them all on account of the jump she has taken on the Dynamic class chart when resuming her winning ways after the St Leger debacle. Aster Rose and B Fifty Two are expected to fight and follow her home.
