Italy's World No. 10 Flavio Cobolli reached the Wimbledon 2026 quarter-finals for a second successive year, beating Australian World No. 6 Alex De Minaur 7-5, 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 on Monday.
Cobolli, 24, will bid to reach the Wimbledon last four for the first time when he faces Grigor Dimitrov or Arthur Fery. "I'm so happy and proud of myself. I felt tired [before the match], so I'm very happy to reach the last eight in three sets as it's important to keep the energy for the next round," said Cobolli, who has been in fine form recently, reaching the French Open final last month, where he lost to Alexander Zverev.
Meanwhile, in the women's category, Italian World No. 17 Jasmine Paolini battled past World No. 32 Alexandra Eala of the Philippines, to enter the last eight with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 win.
