India's favourite tabloid delivered a soccer punch over the weekend!

MiD DAY lifted the Saran Sports-organised Media Cup five-a-side football tournament after beating Kerala Media 4-0 in the final at the Western Railway Ground in Mahalaxmi on Sunday.
A hat-trick by Man-of-the-Match Anthony D'Souza and a fourth goal added by Vivek Ajinkya ensured MiD DAY were comfortable winners in the summit clash. Earlier in the day, MiD DAY beat Hindustan Times 3-0 and Mumbai Mirror 3-1 in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively.
The MiD DAY team comprised of Anthony D'Souza, Sudhir Tripathi, Ashwin Ferro, Dhananjay Khadilkar, Kuldeep Sharma, Vivek Ajinkya and Vipul Shinde.
