Auxilium Convent High School (Wadala) clinched the girls U-16 title in the Dream Sports Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school handball tournament at Azad Maidan on Thursday.
The Wadala outfit displayed some efficient finishing and disciplined defending to beat JB Vachha High School (Dadar) 6-3. For Auxilium, Saee Gole, Khushi Gorde, and Ajitha Nadar starred with two goals each, while JB Vachha's goals came from Kavya Jagtap, Dhun Doshi, and Sanvi Dusane, who scored one each.
The boys U-16 title was won by Arya Vidya Mandir (Bandra), who overcame a spirited Yashodham High School (Kandivli) 22-11 in extra time, after both sides were locked 16-16 at the end of regulation play.
