Dhirubhai Ambani International (Bandra Kurla Complex) who had actor Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim playing for them, started their New Year with a six-wicket win over Utpal Sanghvi (Juhu) in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) Giles Shield U-14 inter-school cricket match at Azad Maidan yesterday.

Dhirubhai Ambani captain Aditya Anand's all-round performance (unbeaten 60 and 2-38) stood out in the win. Electing to bat, the Juhu school were bowled out for 157 in 27 overs. Azharuddin Kalaniya was the highest scorer for Utpal Sanghvi with 54 runs.

Dhirubhai Ambani medium pacer Abhishek Shah claimed four Utpal Sanghvi wickets, giving away 22 runs in nine overs. He took the wickets of Ashish Birdi (6), Siddharth Shah (2), Azharuddin (54) and Neil Desai (9) while, Aditya claimed Parshva Doshi (4) and Krish Shah (7).

Captain cool
In reply, the BKC team reached their target in 26 overs, losing four wickets and with Aditya scoring an unbeaten 60. Giving him company at the other end was Ishaan Sanghvi who scored 15.

Ibrahim Khan (13), the son of Saif Ali Khan and his first wife Amrita Singh, didn't have a great day as he got out for just six. He was seen changing the scores on the scoreboard and also cheering his team from the tent. Ibrahim is the grandson of former India captain Mansur Ali Khan ‘Tiger' Pataudi whose father Iftikhar Ali Khan led India as well.
