Indian men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty went down 12-21, 23-25 against Indonesia's Leo Rolly Carnando and Daniel Marthin at the Thailand Open final here on Sunday.
"The shuttles were quite fast compared to the rest of the tournament and it was difficult to adjust. They imposed their game style on us and we were always on the back foot in the first game. In the second game, we mixed things up better. If we had been a little sharper earlier, we could've won," said Rankireddy.
Rankireddy was happy with they way they played in this tournament and reckons that if they take some more risks, they'll soon emerge champions. "We need to believe more instead of playing 50-50 badminton. Things have started working for us and hopefully soon we will win [a tournament]," he added.
