The fixture ended in a draw after Mumbai reached 276 for four in their second innings on the fourth and final day.
Mumbai prospered through captain Jaffer's 193-ball 110. He had vital partnerships with Abhishek Nayar (67), Suryakumar Yadav (67) and Hiken Shah (17 not out).

Earlier in the game, Mumbai suffered the ignominy of following on after they were dismissed for 360 in response to Saurashtra's first innings total of 580. This was despite centuries from Yadav and Shah.

Yesterday, Saurashtra bowlers Jaydev Unadkat scalped two wickets. Kamlesh Makvana and Sitanshu Kotak took one each. Mumbai got one point from the draw while Saurashtra earned three by virtue of their first innings lead.u00a0
