Various personalities from sports, political and Bollywood backgrounds were overjoyed after Sakshi Malik clinched a bronze medal and took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian female wrestler.

The likes of Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Abhinav Bindra, Virender Sehwag, Jwala Gutta, Karan Johar Sushil Kumar immeadiately sent their warm wishes to Sakshi Malik after she created history at Rio.

The 23-year old girl from Mokhra village near Rohtak in Haryana, defeated Aisuluu Tynybekova of Kyrgyzstan in Women's Freestyle 58kg category, thus becoming the first Indian athlete to grab a medal at Rio 2016.

In the process, Sakshi has become the fourth Indian woman after Karnam Malleswari, Saina Nehwal and Mary Kom to win an Olympic medal.
