In the beginning of COVID, culture journalist Jonah Weiner and Apple scout Erin Wylie started a fashion cum culture substack that we weren't ready for. Though the pandemic is past, we still love the content. One of the pieces for example is about the "American genre-bending band" as the article calls it, featuring one of the bandmates' obsession with oversized jackets and his cassette collection.
Then they have bagged an interview with one of our favourites, Adam Sandler, who has given three print interviews since 1996 not just about movies he is working on but his love of wearing basketball shorts EVERYWHERE!
This is a fantastic find and we recommend this to anyone who loves to read content that's refreshing and not pretentious.

ONE of the best things about the digital realm is that it can take you to places and show you things that you might not otherwise experience. For example, we came across the virtual art galleries on the Museums of India website, and got fascinated by the various depictions of Goddess Kali. Not just paintings and sculptures; Kali takes shape in the form of coins with Radha-Krishna on the obverse side, in modernist art with two Shivas, and even appears on an old cigarette advertisement.

Anyone who loves Mumbai probably has at least one item of "city memorabilia" - a fridge magnet, a keychain, a tote... Well, here's one more, because there are those of us who say you can't have too many tote bags. We love the unmistakable BEST-bus red and the familiar Devnagari lettering on a spacious cotton tote bag - with a pocket!
For those who can't resist "just one more", and for those who have newly fallen for the Mumbai collectibles craze, this tote bag is a nice addition. The price point of R849 may put some people off but a bag is here to stay, right?
