Do you want home decor that will suit Mumbai's fast life but also looks like it was designed by real people and not copy-pasted from an IKEA catalogue? Well, the New Year is the perfect time to spruce up your home. We have five ideas that can make your home colourful.
A love seat is a must in every home and for God's sake don't make it beige. Choose a seat that is comfortable and fun, but is also not made of material that attracts dirt. The love seat not only becomes a bright spot in your home but often becomes a space within a space for some "me" time, where a cup of coffee, a book or a 10 minute meditation all find an assigned space.
If you have enough fabric left over and some time on hand, then you must try and hang some fabric that can brighten up a white or cream wall. Don't overdo and play matchy-matchy. Either go bold with a colour that can stand by itself or choose nude shades depending on your tastes.
We love snake plants - they are low maintenance and if you are the kind of person who can't even keep a cactus alive then this is your green goal this year. The only thing you must be careful about is that it is extremely toxic for both dogs and cats.
Growing up in the 1990s, this was a very common hack. Just move around your furniture. Re-arranging your couch and even flat TVs may have become more difficult, but that's just a carpenter's call away. Changing the location often makes you look at the same place in a different light - quite literally. So roll up your sleeves and get to it.
A gallery wall in your home is the perfect way to make you relook at the important moments in life. It could have posters, art work, or even pictures
of your favourite memories in frame.
