POVA 8 Pro 5G goes on sale in India at Rs 49,999 (Pic/Pova)
The POVA 8 Pro 5G has gone on sale in India from August 21. As per POVA, the flagship smartphone has been priced at Rs 49,999 and comes with a Rs 3,000 cashback offer on eligible card and UPI transactions, bringing the effective price to Rs 46,999.
While POVA promises it to be one of their most brilliant AI-integrated smartphones, one of the key features of this smartphone that impresses the critics is its Alive Matrix Display.
A dot-matrix panel placed on the rear of the device can display information such as battery status, timers, and notifications. The phone can also be placed face-down to function as a desk clock.
Talking about the specifications, the POVA 8 Pro 5G smartphone features a 144Hz AMOLED display, designed to provide a higher refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. The display is also designed to adjust its viewing experience for different lighting conditions.
As far as the camera performance is concerned, the POVA 8 Pro 5G comes with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C main camera with OIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The camera system also includes features such as AI Auto Zoom, 3D Photo, and Motion Trail.
The phone from POVA has also been integrated with a range of AI-based features, highlighting the company's super-smart AI Assistant that can record, transcribe, and summarise calls. The feature supports English, Hindi, Bengali and Marathi and is designed to turn conversations into summaries and actionable information.
The smartphone also includes smart caller ID functionality that can flag potential spam calls before users answer them.
Being a mid-price smartphone, the POVA 8 Pro 5G marks itself as one of India's most value-for-money mid-premium smartphones with a combination of a high-refresh-rate AMOLED display, Sony camera sensor with OIS, rear display functionality, and AI-powered calling features.
The POVA 8 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 49,999 in India and is available from August 21 through Flipkart and retail outlets nationwide.
With the Rs 3,000 instant cashback offer, the effective price comes down to Rs 46,999 for eligible transactions. The company is also offering no-cost EMI options for up to 18 months.
