Sony 1000X The Collexion, WF-1000XM6 launched in India (Pic/Sony)
Sony India on Thursday expanded its premium personal audio portfolio with the launch of the 1000X The Collexion over-ear headphones and the WF-1000XM6 true wireless earbuds.
The two new audio devices launched by Sony products offer premium design, enhanced active noise cancellation, AI-powered features and high-fidelity audio.
The headphones have been designed to commemorate a decade of the 1000X lineup. As per the officials from Sont, the 1000X The Collexion features a minimalist design with premium metal accents, leather finishes, a wider headband and larger ear cushions aimed at improving comfort during extended listening sessions.
The 1000X Collexion has also been integrated with the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 along with the Integrated Processor V3 under the company's "For the Music" initiative.
The headphones support Hi-Res Audio, Hi-Res Wireless, 360 Reality Audio and 360 Upmix, making it a perfect choice for music, cinema and gaming.
Sony has equipped the flagship headphones with 12 microphones using Multi Noise Sensor technology to optimise active noise cancellation in real time. The Adaptive Noise Cancelling Optimiser automatically adjusts performance based on the user's surroundings and fit, while a dedicated wind noise reduction structure improves outdoor listening.
For voice calls, the headphones feature AI-based noise reduction, beamforming microphones and Precise Voice Pickup Technology to improve call clarity in noisy environments. Users can also mute or unmute calls directly through the onboard controls.
The WF-1000XM6 also introduces an updated ergonomic design with an improved ear seal to enhance comfort and passive noise isolation during extended use.
For voice calls, the earbuds have been integrated with AI-powered voice pickup technology, intelligent microphone direction and a bone-conduction sensor to improve speech that helps in clarifying the audio coming through the headphones while also suppressing the background noise.
The earbuds offer up to 24 hours of battery life with the charging case and support quick charging, providing up to 50 minutes of playback from a five-minute charge. They are also Qi wireless charging compatible and feature sweat and splash resistance for everyday use.
Sony 1000X The Collexion and the WF-1000XM6 true wireless earbuds will be available in India from August 7 across e-commerce stores and Sony Center outlets.
Talking about the prices, the 1000X THE Collexion will be available at Rs 59,990, while the WF-1000XM6 will be available to the customers at the price of Rs 29,990.
